Thinking of Ideas

Aside from chronicling my mental and physical triumphs and struggles, I’ve been circling some ideas in my head for how to make this blog more interesting.  Lately, finding the time and motivation has been an issue.  With the downturn in the economy and for other reasons, work has been more stressful.  Still, I feel positive in my ability to sustain and even push forward, if only a little bit.  I believe my optimism stems in part from my injury finally starting to heal.  It’s been a long time coming.  Training been stronger and more consistent.  As an athlete, so much of reaching your goal is to stay the course through highs, lows, and everything in between.  It’s important to understand that it’s not always going to feel great or inspiring.  Your confidence isn’t going to be one-hundred percent.  You may slack or fall short, but still you more forward, even if it’s just a little at a time.
